The Job

You will be working on their high-volume identity platform. This is key to the company’s current and future products. The platform is a complex and distributed system written in Golang. It makes heavy use of Mulesoft, Rest with a backend in PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, MongoDB, RabbitMQ and dedicated crypto hardware. It is designed to meet the needs of the IOE as well as major cloud deployments.

More specifically you will be working on a greenfield transformation project where you will be replacing legacy Business Support Systems with a modern platform interpreted with Mulesoft, shifting from an entirely on-prem to hybrid cloud/on-prem involving some cloud architecture. As an integral part of a technically strong, agile team.

Successful Candidate Profile

·Writes clean, self-documenting code.

·Master of multiple programming languages or a fast learner. Someone who enjoys and is proactive in skilling up and is always keen to expand their stack.

·Uses patterns (synchronous/asynchronous/multithreaded/event driven/latency/bandwidth) into account before coding.

·A team player comfortable helping others and asking for help.


·You will be designing and implementing REST and gRPC APIs to support public facing functionalities and integrations with their backend and 3rd party systems.

·Working alongside frontend engineers on delivering external and internal Single Page Applications.

·Assuring systems compliance and security liaising with security and compliance officers

·As well as assuring code quality by implementing automated testing tools and processes where appropriate.

·Aligning your development process with the rest of our CI/CD practices and workflows.

·Measuring and establishing baseline platform performance.


·Commerecial experience with Mule 3.x and Mule 4.x

·Experience in building complex integrations and systems for high traffic websites/services

·Strong abilities in one or more of the following (Java, Javascript, Python, Golang)

·Strong Commercial experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, ElasticSearch)

·Mulesoft Certified Integration Architect and/or Mulesoft Certified Developer (working towards or in the process of is highly desirable)

·Experience with scalability, reliability and performance on the Anypoint Cloud platform
