A senior Oracle Developer required by the Fixed Income Research group of a leading, medium sized financial firm who is experiencing unprecedented growth, backed by sustained revenue generation. You will join their Research and Analytics team as they grow and diversify into new Fixed Income product areas and rewrite their applications based on Oracle PL/SQL, Bash Scripting, Java on Linux. 

The role is communication focussed with you working with the Business Analysts and Quant Analysts, ensuring you are architecting, designing and coding the applications the business needs. You will also be guiding and mentoring junior team members and the offshore development team. You will have several years experience of designing and developing applications in Oracle (primarily PL/SQL but SQL Loader and other Oracle DB tools will also be used), strong Scripting skills preferably in Bash with any experience of Java useful but not essential. 

A background in Fixed Income (Bonds, ABS, MBS etc.), Fund Management and financial markets in general would be useful as this is a business facing role and will expose you to the whole financial product development cycle.
